- Business name and industry
- Payment information (processed securely via our payment providers)
WhatsApp conversation data
Section titled “WhatsApp conversation data”When you connect your WhatsApp Business API to ChatAgent:
- Message content from conversations handled by our AI agents
- Customer phone numbers and contact details shared in those conversations
- Order and transaction data processed through ChatAgent
Usage data
Section titled “Usage data”We automatically collect:
- Pages visited on our website and documentation
- Features used within the platform
- Device type, browser, and IP address
- Referring URLs
Cookies
Section titled “Cookies”We use cookies to remember your preferences, analyze site performance, and provide personalized content. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How we use your information
Section titled “How we use your information”To provide the service — running AI agents, processing conversations, delivering analytics, and syncing with your connected integrations.
To improve the product — analyzing usage patterns to make ChatAgent better for everyone.
To communicate with you — sending account notifications, product updates, and billing information. Marketing emails are opt-in.
To ensure security — detecting fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
How we share your information
Section titled “How we share your information”We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:
- Service providers — hosting, payment processing, analytics, and customer support tools that help us operate. They’re bound by confidentiality agreements.
- Integration partners — when you connect Shopify, Tokopedia, or other platforms, data is shared with those services per your authorization.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights.
Data retention
Section titled “Data retention”- Account data — kept while your account is active, deleted within 30 days of account closure
- Conversation data — retained for the duration of your subscription, deleted within 60 days after cancellation
- Usage analytics — aggregated and anonymized, retained indefinitely
Data security
Section titled “Data security”We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256)
- Regular security audits and penetration testing
- Access controls and authentication
- SOC 2 compliance (in progress)
No system is 100% secure. We work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Section titled “Your rights”Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your personal data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to certain processing

International data transfers
Section titled “International data transfers”ChatAgent is based in the United States. If you’re outside the US, your data may be transferred to and processed in the US. We use standard contractual clauses and other safeguards for international transfers.

Changes to this policy
Section titled “Changes to this policy”We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
